about
“Headsweat” slips into a more euphoric mood as The Foxies delight in a highly specific form of desire. “I’d just finished working out and I was wearing a hat and my head was sweaty, and I showed up to the session and told the guys I wanted to write a sexual song about headsweat,” vocalist Julia Lauren Bullock recalls. “We spun it into this very upbeat song about sexual tension, about wanting to be with someone that you know you can’t have.” With its pogo-ready rhythms and brain-bending vocal hook, “Headsweat” also catalyzed the band’s exploration of their more idiosyncratic sensibilities.
lyrics
I’m on a plane, I’m on my way to ya, soy high
Wasting my days dreaming about what ya feel like
I like the way you lie, but I don’t wanna sleep
I watch you all the time, want you stuck to me
Don't let me go, don't let me go
I wanna feel you wanna feel from your head sweat
Pull down your temperature then push it back up
I wanna get you an a spot I haven’t found yet
I wanna feel you, wanna feel you from your head sweat
This is your captain, take off your seatbelt
You can take all my oxygen
My secret’s yours don’t you forget that
I like the way you lie, but I don’t wanna sleep
I watch you all the time, want you stuck to me
I wanna feel you wanna feel from your head sweat
Pull down your temperature then push it back up
I wanna get you an a spot I haven’t found yet
I wanna feel you, wanna feel you from your head sweat
It’s really kinda fuckin sick
The way you fit me
And I wanna see you lose your shit
Make you go crazy
The way you make my stomach flip
Turns over daily
I really really wanna feel you from your head sweat
I wanna feel you wanna feel from your head sweat
Pull down your temperature then push it back up
I wanna get you an a spot I haven’t found yet
I wanna feel you, wanna feel you from your head sweat
